The film is a journey into the life of a tiny, biblical community of 850 people that will soon undergo a profound change. In an effort to save the Samaritan community from extinction, its members are weighing different solutions. Marriages with foreign women and Christian communities abroad taught to live like Samaritans are the community’s greatest hope, but also pose the greatest threat to it. The Samaritans are divided: They all want to save the community, but how? Each solution is a threat to the other. Just before the change occurs, they open their door and heart into the community as we are given a first-hand look into the traditions unique to the Samaritan community, and especially the grave fears for its fate. And meanwhile reality rears its head.
